Advent calendars are a great way for children to keep track of how many days until Christmas there are. Each day, starting December 1st, an ornament is taken from behind one of the numbers and placed on the tree until all 24 are put up – then the next day is Christmas!

You can customize your stocking ornaments by writing family member names on the them - makes it fun for kids when they can put *their* stocking up.


MATERIALS NEEDED:

- 4 sheets cardstock paper (letter size)
- 4 laminating pouches (optional)
- sticky Velcro (or regular tape)
- 24 brad fasteners
- paper hole punch
- marker or pen (opt. for writing on stockings)
- scissors and X-Acto knife or razor blade.

Assembly and preparation time is approximately 1 hour.
